Reinforced concrete structures are often unable to achieve continuous construction, the time intervals over the initial time of concrete will appear construction joints in the interval section. Construction joints generally leave at bottom of the column or the interface of beam and column. It is the larger force parts. Members of our group use low cycled reversed loading experiment to two-story two-bay reinforced concrete frame with construction joints. Then, they study the seismic performance of frame systematically. However, because the limitations of experimental conditions, the experiment simulates earthquake just with a quasi-static load applied, not imposing real seismic waves. Therefore, it is of great significance to analyze the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete frame with construction joints through nonlinear finite element. This paper selects the appropriate model of concrete and steel, establishes two frame model of entire cast and with construction joints. To load in accordance with experimental method, then analyzes the finite element results and the experimental results to determine the accuracy of the model. Then, study the influence of construction joints on the frame structure from two aspects.Firstly, this paper reset the model to increase the rigidity of the beam under the right model, then analyze the effect of construction joints to frame column damage position in depth.Secondly, this paper sues seismic time-history analysis. To establish three framework models with construction joints of different treatment under the two right models, and load seismic waves to the total five framework models. It can get rational analysis to the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete frames with construction joints by analyzing the total framework models and comparing the displacement time-history curves and shear time-history curves.
