During pavement design, in addition to considering the pavement structure design weshould take soil base into account, subgrade resilient modulus of subgrade reaction is animportant indicator of subgrade performance, it’s affected by a variety of factors such assoil type, degree of compaction and water content. Based on the experimental datacollection and analysis of various regions, this paper makes a brief analysis on the effect ofeach of these factors, and provides a reference foe selecting a reasonable subgrade resilientmodulus indicators. This paper focuses on the resilient modulus of subgrade factors, then analyzes thecombined effect of pavement layer parameters (thickness and modulus of surfacelayer, grassroots layer, sub-base layer) and resilient modulus of subgrade on pavementdesign indicators such as surface deflection, subgrade deflection and flexural stress ofbottom layer. Besides, the paper also made the corresponding analysis about the effect ofsubgrade resilient modulus on the equivalent modulus of elasticity and concrete slab bottomload stress in the cement concrete pavement design. Subgrade resilient modulus havesignificant impact on pavement design. This article proposed an improved subgraderesilient modulus in accordance with the different months subgrade resilient modulus, optimized our land base resilient modulus selecting, and provided a reference for pavementdesign.
