At present, China is undergoing rapid economic development.Much of the infrastructure is built. Compared with other bridges, rigid frame bridge is stiff in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction. In addition, the bridge construction is simple, pier beam consolidation, don’t need to set up support, don’t need to set the erection bracket, the late lower maintenance cost. From 100 m to 300 m span bridges in our country, large span continuous rigid frame bridge is the main bridge. As a large number of rigid frame bridges are completed and operation, their bottom slab cracks appeared gradually. This is the starting point of this article. The bottom longitudinal crack disease of transverse stress will be researched in the article.First of all, the paper introduces the development course and the present situation of rigid frame bridge, expounds some problems existing in rigid frame bridge. To the disease of bottom slab are related to the described especially longitudinal cracks.Secondly, the article with a bridge as the background,the bridge floor transverse stress calculation method of the commonly used- horizontal framework method has carried on the related introduction. Using the method of edge of bottom slab of the bridge lateral force are calculated. At the same time the bridge entity finite element model is established in this paper, and the bridge floor transverse force are analyzed. It is compared with the horizontal framework method. The bridge floor health status has been evaluated.Thirdly, The related factors influencing the edge of rigid frame box girder bottom slab transverse stress has been calculated in the paper. Of bridge deck pavement, prestressed beam across the board, box girder temperature difference between inside and outside factors on the floor, floor thickness transverse stress effect are analyzed. At the same time, some conclusions and suggestions were given.Finally, in order to control the bottom slab transverse stress size, two methods have been introduced- adding bottom slab beam and tensioning floor prestressed beam method. The analysis results of the two methods were also given in the paper, and the beam height on bottom transverse stress effect were discussed, the strengthening effect of two methods was compared. I hope these conclusions can be some reference to the engineering practice.
