The Study Of Design Method Of Architectural Skin During Conservation And Renewal Of Historical Buildings In Germany

There is a growing emphasis on the protection of historic buildings nowadays.And people’s protection awareness significantly improved.The principle of Repair the old as old to some extent reflected in the appearance authenticity of historic buildings.Most cities in Germany, including some important historic city, were almost razed to the ground after World War II.After the difficult conditions of the post-war division of Germany and careful restoration and updating urban architecture after the reunification, many historic area of the cities gradually restored to their original historical patterns and urban landscape.They retain and extend their rich cultural heritage.The continuation of historical context of German cities depend largely on the design during the protection and renewal of historical building skin.Skin renewal is an important part during building renewal.And it have a profound impact on the building itself and urban development.Building skin on the one hand meet human demand on the internal space of functions,on the other hand contact the outside world as the external manifestations of space.From these two aspects, is not only to strengthen the functional requirements,but also an attempt to consolidate, strengthen or change dialogue mode between buildings and outside world.With the development of modern architecture, building skin status in buildings is increasing.Building skin materials, structure, morphology and other areas shows a more diversified development.This to some extent, provide the protection and renewal of historic buildings a wealth of material.Protection and updated results shows contemporary interpretation of history.Under the background of protection and restoration of historic buildings,I investigated and analyzed the current situation,abstracted theories about building skin design.And I summarized general method and characteristics of building skin design through analyze, compare and classify actual case.I want to provide some degree of reference for the implementation of conservation and restoration of historic buildings.The paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter, I summarized the background, dynamic, purpose and meaning of the research, etc.I emphasized the important role of building skin in the building by discussing three major European architectural conservation theory as well as rethinking of the building skin problems.The second chapter,I briefly introduced the overview of conservation and restoration of historic buildings in Germany including general workflows,remediation technologies, related protection laws and conservation organizations.These conditions make the results of building skin conservation and restoration diversity.The third chapter,I mainly talked about the outcome of design strategies of building skin, including the modern development of three major European architectural conservation theory,the principles of architectural conservation and restoration, the role of building skin and its design strategies.The fourth chapter I discussed the methods of building skin design in conservation and restoration of historical buildings.The fifth chapter is a summary.It discussed what we can learn from Germany in building skin design in conservation and restoration of historical buildings.
