With the deepening of the western development strategy implementation, the large amount of the key infrastructure project in the southwest mountainous area is in succession. Affected by complex geological environment in southwest China, there will inevitably be in the need to excavated the high and fill the deep in the engineering construction, which involve the high slope stability problem of engineering area. Sliding failure, as the one of the most common types, often occur in the bedding slopes long the weak interlayer, so in the design of this kind of slope excavation, choosing suitable excavation scheme of bedding rock slope involved in engineering construction has important significance.The process of deformation and failure in bedding rock slope tend to get a combination of many factors, in this paper, key induction and summary are made to the different natural factors and human factors which affect the stability of the slope. On the basis of this, we put forward the corresponding slope classification basis, and according to the different mechanics mechanism and movement characteristics, which focused on the five kinds of most common deformation failure mode, using the calculation model and collapse of plane projection to analysis.On the basis of the above work, the three test section of zhijin sinopec project excavation of bedding slope, through the combination of a variety of ways, such as field investigation, field exploration and laboratory test method, we find out the condition of occurrence of geological engineering environment and the characteristics of the lithology under the excavation of bedding rock slope, and the physical and mechanical parameters of slope body structure and various corresponding issues has been clear about, on the basis, using the limit equilibrium method and finite element method of plane projection method to analysis the stability of slope, and reach a conclusion that the slope is in the basic stability state. Combining with the monitoring data analysis, lateral springback deformation is the mainly slope deformation type, which shows a stress release characteristics, and its buckling deformation type is composite of creep cracking- sliding curved. Combined with numerical simulation method for validation, results are consistent with the characteristics of slope deformation and monitoring.About the design of bedding rock slope excavation, choosing the suitable excavation method, can improve the economic benefit with reducing engineering quantity but also increase the stability of the slope at the same time. Test section three excavation bedding rock slope calculation prototype aforementioned, according to the different slope height, slope ratio, step width adjusted for conditions, and different excavation condition is obtained by using the strength subtraction of stability of slope body, combining with the deformation characteristics of slope to analyze, the results shows that, within a certain range, by setting the appropriate width and the appropriate change steps of slope excavation, the new is reduced with the original slope, which is divided into certain independence of monomer, can make the slope distribution of shear stress optimization, and improve the stability of the slope; The stability of the slope increased with the change of the slope body geometry in early time, but decrease with the change of geometric similarity over the peak value, and the increase of independence of the monomer is in the need to improve some part of excavation slope at expense, over a certain range, a steep slope would result stress concentration on the slope, on the contrary, the stability of the slope gradually reduce.Finally, the paper did excavation slope support simulation for slope rock mass under different slope, after the slope support, the rock slope excavation and supporting of the numerical simulation, after the use of anchor cable in slope support, the slope sliding resistance increased and avoid shear stress concentration near the slope foot, which makes the slope need more energy to cut out, the stress on slope body parts transferring to the supporting structure, and there is a control function to the slip deformation effect produced by a potential slip surface.
