The current shortage of water resources due to the increase of water pollution is increasingly serious. Water is one of the earth’s the main components, and more than 70% of the human body is also, water. During the growth of life and maintaining, water has an extremely important position and role.Rain in arid regions are people’s hope of life, so they do everything they can to gather water from rain, meanwhile it is often not fully used in humid regions.Under the background of the acceleration if current urbanization process, more and more rural land are occupied by high-rise buildings, at the same time, we are faced with the lack of urban green land and the urban leisure places, brought by the lack of green space, and this will result in environmental and urban population even cause citizens’psychological pressure. Today everywhere around the world are advocating green energy-saving buildings, the author thinks that the Nanjing Hexi urban ecological park should not only show some vague ecological concepts, but also should show some different aspects from other environmental exhibition hall. So the building should have an obvious theme.The focus on the theme of this subject should be relevant to the Nanjing local environment, and the integration of urbanization.Nanjing will soon celebrate the summer youth Olympic Games in 2014, the construction of ecological park is also based on this city event. Through funded youth Olympic Games can drive Nanjing city environment of investment promotion and the overall improvement of city soft power. The author thought that to improve the level not only lies in the facilities and technology, more lies in the awareness of low carbon life of the Nanjing citizens.Ecological park is a kind of showcase to the tourists of ecological technology, green life and concept of environmental protection. As the shortage of the present resources and environmental deterioration, advocating green and low carbon city is of great importance. The ecological park pavilion as the main building of the ecological park, should embody the concept of resource conservation and environmental protection better.I began to consider from the selection of site conditions, using water recycling as the breakthrough point, trying to design from architectural form, streamline and exhibition content arrangement. Then with the combination of water and people as the breakthrough point, discuss how to combine the water flowing with the architectural form and the streamline of the exhibition, achieving an outcome which can solve the complex sources of the streamline of the site, and at the same time the exhibition building can be ground into the design of the base rightly. During the design progress, the writer fully considered the various needs of different visitors, and strived to make the streamline scientific and reasonable.The whole design is divided into five parts:the topic selection and the design research background, the site analysis, technology and case studies of the rain, and the architectural design, which include the shape, the streamline, the information collection and application of the rain, and the expression of the design. The design content is determined by the design plan descriptions of this plot in Nanjing. The theme of this design is the running water and architecture.I compared and researched a variety of solutions in the design process, seeking an optimal solution to the construction site problem, the theme, the streamline and the function.
