The S-type wind turbine with vertical axis has a good start-up characteristics and meeting the demand of automatically start at low wind speed. The operating speed is low, especially the utilization rate of traditional S-type wind turbine, After the optimization of flow field using the guide device, not only improved the start-up characteristics of the wind turbine, but also improved the efficiency of wind turbine with the optimized flow field. Analyzed the impact of main structural parameters to the efficiency of wind turbine in this paper, the use of orthogonal design research methods and Fluent, completed a two-dimensional numerical simulation of wind turbine flow field, obtained the ??PC curves under different combinations of wind turbine structural parameters, analyzed the results of simulation, obtained the optimal solution of structural parameters combination on the condition of maximum efficiency PC, then we get the structural parameters and best tip speed ratio of the wind turbine.The power output of small wind turbine fluctuates largely according to the wind speed, therefore, it is needed to control the output power of the wind turbine. To control the baffle of guide equipment by a control mechanism, achieved the control of wind entered in wind turbine, so the output power of the wind turbine would be controlled. For the control of baffle are two cases: baffle at the best position to make the maximum efficiency of the wind turbine when the wind speed is less than the rated wind speed; wind baffle resized the corresponding angle according to the wind speed when the wind speed is higher than the rated wind speed, the control of wind entered in wind turbine to make the output power of the wind wheel in the vicinity of the rated power, achieved constant power output of wind turbine. Established the model of wind speed and simulation model of wind turbine by Matlab/Simulink, obtained the trend of wind turbine power output with wind speed.Finally, designed a small alternator for wind turbine, achieved the integration of the wind turbine and turbine by the use of outer rotor structure, improved the reliability of the system, achieved a stable DC output while taking advantage of AC/DC converter.
