Dye Sensitized Solar Cells have received much attention because the preparation process is convenient and the costs are low. However, the conversion efficiency of DSSCs is still far below the theoretical value, and there are still many ways to promote the efficiency. In this paper, in order to improve the light absorbance and the electron collection we focus on the following two aspects:1. Combined the effect of Au Nanoparticles and Sphere Hierarchical Structure to improve the light capture.Studied the preparation technology of Au Nanoparticles and sphere hierarchical structure, and obtained Au Nanoparticles and sphere hierarchical structure with high quality; studied the method to dope the sphere hierarchical structure with Au Nanoparticles, and realized the combination of Au Nanoparticles and sphere hierarchical structure, which obtained improved light scattering and absorption performance; finally, prepared corresponding DSSCs and studied how the Au Nanoparticles and sphere hierarchical structure affect the performance of DSSCs, and realized the enhancement of light capture and photo-current conversion efficiency.2. Introduced the patterned substrate into the DSSCs to improve the electron collectionStudied how to regulate the period and the height of the patterned substrate by changing the technological parameter of sputtering, photo-lithography, and wet-etching, making the period of the substrate matched with the electron diffusion distance and the depth matched with the thickness with the TiO2 film; prepared DSSCs on patterned substrate and studied the effect of patterned substrate on the quantum efficiency, short term current density, fill factor, and conversion efficiency, at the same time,we have proposed a method to improve the performance of DSSCs without introducing any other materials.
