In recent years, with the rapid development of automobile industry, the car enterprises’ requirement in productivity and quality of the key parts is also rising. Transmission, as one of the most important components of automobile, its yield and quality directly restricts the development of some car enterprises. As an emerging advanced manufacturing technology, Cloud manufacturing is committed to changing the traditional manufacturing mode. This paper presents the design method of cloud service platform for automobile gearbox manufacturing based on idea of CMfg, and discusses the key techniques. The main contents of this paper include:(1) As to the actuality that resources for gearbox manufacturing is scattered distribution, this paper classifies these resources, designs the corresponding resource description template, uses XML Schema tool to encapsulate these resources, and realizes resource sharing and unified management.(2) Precise queery in traditional cloud service platform leads to neglect some of the potential solution, the paper proposes a fuzzy query method based on fuzzy theory, analyzes the basic query conditions based on fuzzy relations and fuzzy word in detail, and designs a fuzzy query interface to realize the fuzzy query for cloud service.(3) Some of the traditional cloud service composition optimization has certain limitation in dynamic resources environment, this paper proposes an service composition optimization based on improved greedy algorithm, which realizes a great improvement in solution ability of service composition, so it is very fruitful to solve the problem of service composition in dynamic resource environment.By setting cloud services of different sample quantity, to do function testing and verifing for automobile gearbox cloud service platform, the results show that, the automobile gearbox cloud service platform is proposed to make full use of the advantage of fuzzy query in service searching and improved greedy algorithm in service composition, so that it can obtain the optimal combination of cloud manufacturing service, and realizes the automobile gearbox manufacturing process.
