With the rise of the industrial revolution, petrochemical industry is booming developed. In 2002, China start up west to east gas pipeline project, the gas scale is expanding gradually in city, explosion accident caused by gas leakage are also common occurance. These promote the government legislation and people’s safety protection consciousness enhanced, the installation of combustible gas detector will be soonly popularization, installation of combustible gas detector has become a government to protect people’s life and property safety and impose a measure.This design of the combusite gas detector is mainly consist of two kinds of gas senors, WirelessHART module and MCU of MSP430. The gas sensors will use the high stable combusite gas sensor 4LEL and oxygen senors 4SPEO2 which is produced by SoliesenSe, Germany. The humidity sensor and temperature sensor will also be built-in the detector to compensate the influence caused by the environment. MCU MSP430 is designed as the core of the hardware of the detector. WirelessHART module is work as the data output. In addition, the hardware also include the signal processing of the detection part, the key board part, display part, sound and light alarm and wireless communication module, etc. The software include the main program, data processing, the key board processing, display (LCD), read and write EEPROM, sound and light alarm and wireless communication module, etc. In order to raising the accuracy of the detection with low power consumption, we also designed an optimization algorithm to revise and compensate the nonlinearity of the sensors, temperature drift.The detector passed the test in which temperature was 20° and the relative humidity was 55% containing CH4 environment test. Its performance was stable, reliable and reached the expected requirements. It also proved that this design of the hardware is reliable. The software structure is reasonable. The detection is rapidly and it has a good practical value.
