Design And Development Of Electronic Module Of Laser Source In Helicopter Landing System

After the shipboard helicopters finished the operations at sea, they face to difficulties like storms, waves and other environmental factors in the return voyage. Therefore, researching the helicopter landing assistant system is of great importance, and many countries have launched study about this system in recent decades. Currently, the most advanced system on helicopter landing assistance is based on the laser communication between helicopter and ship. Using the laser data they received from the helicopter, workers on the ship calculate the relative position of the helicopter and the machine attitude.This paper shows the research of the helicopter laser target source system. First, in the background section, we describe the limitation of helicopter operation at sea and the necessity of research of the helicopter landing assist system. Then, the paper introduces the development of the helicopter landing assist system. Next step, according to the basic functional needs of the laser target source equipment, the paper shows the structural designing of the equipment, and the hardware interface between the data processing module and other modules..According to the overall modular design, this paper tells the hardware system, the data processing software system, and the PC interface system in details. First, the paper introduces the main chips in the hardware system, such as the parameters, the connection in the circuit. The working principle of RS422 and RS485 bus are also given in the hardware modular. Second, the paper tells the software system in details, including the clock, timer, port and serial communication modules of MSP430 MCU. At last, the PC software is shown, with the introduction of Labview, the submodules of the interface such as string setting, unpacking, error reporting and showing.After the laser target source equipment was completed, researchers of National Space Science Center of Chinese Academy of Science, hold the experiment with Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics. Workers assemble the PCB board and laser in the chassis. The paper shows the result of experiment, and makes sure of the function of the laser target source equipment. Eventually, EMC experiment has been conducted to test the electromagnetic performance of the equipment, and the paper tells the problems of the equipment which were found in the experiment and the measure workers made out to solute. Finally, the paper summarizes about the whole laser target source equipment and the author’s work during her master career, and tells the development of the equipment in the future.
