China is entering the era of automotive with the development the social economy. Over billion of vehicle making the urban roads become more congested. In order to solve traffic congestion, some detection means are needed to detect the current road traffic parameters such as traffic flow, velocity, density, etc. And realize the current road traffic state determined and the future traffic state predicted by these parameters. Then achieving the induction of traffic flow to reducing congestion for urban traffic management and control. Detection methods of traffic parameters obtained(Loop-coil, Radar, Infrared, Floating Car) have many deficiencies, such as high cost of installation and maintenance, limited detection range, difficult to provide full network traffic information. As a new data acquisition technology in traffic field, radio frequency identification(RFID) technology has advantages of Multi-target rapid identification, strong anti-jamming capability, easy to deploy. RFID can acquisition vehicle speed, license plate, the owner information, etc. By using RFID acquisition the traffic information parameters is new exploration in the field of technical support.This paper is to convert the RFID vehicle detected arrival information to the traffic information parameters, and calculate different intersection traffic flow shunt ratio. Detected road traffic incidents and road congestion status in real-time and effectively by analyzing the traffic parameters, intersection shunt and other basic data. And then realize the change of road and regional traffic state prediction in a short time, the contents are as follows:1. The traffic parameter information acquisition and calculation. Learn and study different detection techniques to acquire data types and traffic parameters calculation method in the detection process. And analyze their advantages and disadvantages. By analyzing traffic flow information and urban road traffic information collection technology framework, build a traffic parameter calculation method to obtain traffic flow, velocity, density and other traffic parameter information based on RFID technology acquired data characteristic in detection and data structure in the database.2. Calculating intersection transfer traffic flow. Categorizing intersection by geometric parameters, and analyzing its traffic characteristics. RFID reader at the entrance and exit of intersection detect traffic data. Calculated traffic shunt data based on the detected data information to obtain traffic flow metastasis about the relevant road of the intersection and other parameters.3. The traffic status detection and prediction. Summary the traffic status detection and prediction algorithm. Analysis of traffic state evaluation. Determine road current traffic status by measured traffic parameters. Combing the distraction of traffic flow between each road. Summary traffic flow metastatic pattern. Realized the future road traffic state prediction by current traffic state.
