In recent 20 years, the micro-pile technology is being widely used in slope engineering. It has caught lots of people’s attention in the academic and engineering field. People also carry out extensive research in this field. For the short time application of micro-pile, people can’t understand its stress mechanism and destruction models completely. People still don’t get enough researches to explain how the micro-pile reinforce the stability of the slope. Especially, the micro-pile has small diameter and bending stiffness, but high ratio of its length to its diameter, there are lots of doubts about its ability for rooting slope. So it is very important and necessary to illuminate its reinforcement mechanism, deformation process and destruction models. People urgently need a mature theory about micro-pile’s ability for rooting slope. A mature theory not only affects its promotion and use, but also guides its construction. In turn, people can also get rich engineering experience to help improve the theory of the micro-pile. This paper summarizes the current status of micro-pile based on the existing researches at home and abroad. It also does some researches on the slope stability analysis methods, and puts forward some suggestions on the advantages and disadvantages between the energy method and the finite difference method. And in this paper, it further discusses the influence of the micro-pile layout position on its reinforcement of the slope stability. Meanwhile, it provides the reference for studying the theory of micro-pile.This paper mainly completes the following work:First of all, it starts with the technology of the slope reinforcement. Then, it analyses the distinction and connection between the micro-pile, the anchor and the soil nailing. It introduces its layout mode,classification and characteristics. Last, it summarizes the working principle of micro-pile, and analyses the stress distribution and destruction mode though reading a lot of literature.Secondly, it carries on the comparison of several main methods on the slope stability analysis method. And it makes detailed introductions about the energy analysis method and the finite difference method by choosing the energy analysis method and the finite difference method as the main means to analyze the slope stability. Then it introduces the strength subtraction to compare these two analysis methods about the influence on safety factor based on the strength reduction technique.Thirdly, on the basis of some certain assumptions, it uses the energy analysis method to analysis the single row and the multi row of root pile’s influence on rooting the slope stability associate with the working principle of micro-pile, analysis the result through typical cases.Finally, it uses the finite difference method(FLAC3D) to simulate the typical cases, then comparing with the energy analysis method’s results. In this way it can check each method’s effectiveness.
