Waterway transportation industry occupying a pivotal position, with large-scale ship, speed development, must rise to the requirement of the channel. The navigation conditions of The Yangtze river three gorges valley between the two Dams is extremely dangerous because of its narrow and steep, risks with fast- flowing, flow disturbance, beach. Shui Tianjiao is famous middle flood rapids in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and also is one of the most difficult channel between the two DAMS. To research flow characteristics and methods of waterway regulation of Shui Tianjiao Beach section, in order to ensure the smooth of the Yangtze river “golden waterway” and Improve the ability of navigation.Generalized flume model tests were first introduced in this paper, the artificial compound section formed through construction of underwater platform to study the flow characteristics, establish compound section generalized model and theoretical framework of transverse distribution of the velocity formula. And the two-dimensional numerical simulation technology for Shui Tianjiao between the two dam section of the rapid artificial compound section are formed by construction of underwater platform, namely, open method of remediation slow flow channel area has carried on the preliminary study. Main work content and the research results are as follows:(1) Analysis of conventional remediation method, found in the expansion of discharge area for reservoir water to expand a rapid effect is limited, new remediation method is put forward, namely the uplink channel construction of underwater platform to form artificial compound section method, a rapid regulation reservoir flood.(2) Using generalized flume experiments, the construction of an underwater platform, artificial co mpound section has be formed. at different flow, tail underwater, set different width and height of the flow characteristics of the underwater platform test measurements.(3) Analysis of test results, the establishment of project before sink lateral velocity distribution formula; Define the flow zone and its width, establish flow zone width and underwater platform width, height and flow conditions such as impact factor, the relationship between contact and slow flow zone width and engineering before the velocity ratio, the relationship between artificial compound section velocity distribution are obtained.(4) Using the front research results, proposed the construction of an underwater platform form an artificial compound section remediation Reservoir rapids between the two dams that Liantuo segment preliminary design method.(5) Using the practical hydrological data Liantuo segment between the two dams to establish the two-dimensional mathematical model, with the mathematical model research on compound section Improvement method of practical engineering application. Study found that according to the laws of the artificial compound section lateral velocity distribution scheme design of repairing effect obviously, from the construction application into consideration for the optimal solution.Indirect verifies the correctness of artificial compound section lateral velocity distribution and new control method is feasible.
