According to the "Gansu province river transport development plan", the channelbetween Wujin gorge reservoir and Longwan to South beach located in of the upstreamof the Yellow,the channel standard is class V, the river has12rapids. Shuangxuangourapids which is located in Baiyin City, the beach belongs to the flooding of low waterrapids and shallow rapids branch road complex nature rapids, set urgent, shallow,narrow, branching, insurance, etc. to navigation features, the entire project reach play akey role in improving controllability.In this paper, the physical model to the main river, the river, supplemented bynumerical simulation research methods, navigation-obstructing characteristics, waterfeatures, and sediment transport of Shuangxuangou rapids were observed and analyzed.First using the physical model test methods on the basis of the preliminary designscheme and three sets of optimization scheme is put forward to improve the navigationof the river flow conditions, optimization scheme three is the recommended treatmentscheme by comparing three groups of test programs, Secondly using the method ofnumerical simulation calculation of the flow recommendation, verify the recommendedscheme.In the recommended scheme: the upper curved section was taken cut mouth andfilling slots measure,the straight transition section was taken cut mouth measure, themiddle widen section was taken dredging, filling Da, trenching and groin measures,The lower deep channel section was taken dive dam and cut mouth measures. Theproblem of vortex water, sweeping bend water, strong currents, gradient large inupstream segment has been improved. The problem of waterways shallow, gradientlarge, velocity large, bubbles swirling water, siltation in middle segment has beenresolved. The problem of gradient large, velocity large, waterways narrow, very chaoticflow in downstream segment has been resolved.For the preliminary design of the route, made in small traffic routes in the design ofthe ship can sail up and down the safety, it is recommended in high flow, Choosingdesign route flow routes to the left as sail up routes, design channel line as sail downroutes.
