Ecological slope protection is applied in river regulation project more and more frequently to prevent the river bank from erosion damage, restore the damaged ecological environment,and to improve the living environment.So it is practicality significant to research the water flow in ecological slope protected river.Focusing on ecological management of Guanlin river in Xinjin county, this paper analyzed the scheme for ecological control,and performed a 3D numerical simulation to study the water flow.Here is the may conclusions:(1)Compared between the different protection materials, the vegetation revetment and microbial mats revetment were selected,with higher vegetation coverage and better ecological effects.Then the decision design for cross-sectional shape was carried out,based on roughness features of river slope and constructions on the river sides;(2)The water surface profile of typical trapezoidal cross-section was obtained by calculating under several models of Guanlin river in Xinjin county.It showed that the calculation results conform to the requirements of the project after comparing with the other literature’s;(3)A numerical simulation for Guanlin river by ANSYS FLUENT was performed to investigate the water surface profile along the river and distribution of flow field,where the turbulent model was standard k- ε and pressure-velocity coupling was second-order upwind scheme.
