With the development of urbanization in our country and the improvement of living standards, the evolution of public transport, especially the urban rail transit, has become the primary choice to relieve the problem of urban traffic congestion. The tram, as to be an important part of urban public traffic, as well as an effective and low consumption mode of traffic style, is recommended strongly by the world bank an most of the environmental groups. Besides, the tram characteristics of low construction cost,short construction period and medium transport capacity, have effectively made up for the gap between conventional bus and rail transit capacity, which has become an important part of urban public transport system and represent the development trend of modern urban rail transit obviously.Due to the tram tracks in the city or suburbs, and there are many residents and building structures, making the environmental vibration and noise control has become a major social needs and technical requirements for such forms of transport. Taking into the deepening of China’s industrialization process account, such as the increase of rubber elastomeric particulate material generated by discarded tires and other rubber elastomer particles, which has energy-absorbing noise characteristics can better fit the needs of tram track vibration and noise reduction. The paper studied the vibration damping and noise reduction effect of a new elastic particle material used in embedded tram track structure, and analyze of different granules ratio under the effect of vibration and noise reduction, aiming at seeking a kind of material used in urban rail transit systems, which is green environmental protection, low cost and effective in vibration damping and noise reduction. The main research works are shown as follows:The ratio of different size and density material under uniaxial compression performance tests have been carried out. Then, we can get the energy absorption efficiency and ideal parameters of the material based on the test results, which can be the basic index to evaluate the energy absorption ability of the material.We can obtain the rough material constitutive model parameters and the hysteretic curve of the material in different particle and density by using the finite element software to simulate the material loading test process. Then, we can get the loss factor of the material in different conditions. Finally, we can obtain the best ratio of the material condition combine with the theoretical analysis of the energy absorption ability.The study analysis the vibration damping and noise reduction of the embedded structure with the particle material and the structure without the particle material using the finite element software ANSYS and acoustic software SYSNOISE.The study analysis the vibration damping and noise reduction both the embedded structure with the particle material and the structure without the particle material by the indoor hammering method and the free-fall hammer experiments. Then, we get the conclusion combine with the theoretical analysis beyond.
