Nowadays, traditional energy shortage becomes more and more scares and its polluting the environment. The renewable energy can solve problems as it is the necessity of society and gradually increasing the demand, lots of research around the world. There are lots of challenges in remote areas because of its vast geographic environment. It leads difficulties for large power grid to set up there operation and to extend or maintain power supply. This creates necessity in these areas to have independent power generation equipment to meet the demand. But these places are blessed with solar energy and it encourages us to set up photovoltaic power generation system for power supply in remote areas. In this paper redesigned the traditional photovoltaic power generation systems, the previous lead-acid battery instead of lithium batteries, and introduces non-balancing cell management strategy to compensate for the lithium battery’s own defects.In this paper, according to the survey of the remote environmental conditions such as areas sunshine radiation, sunshine duration and continuous rainy day, and the analysis of the typical families in remote areas demand, the concrete scheme of the distributed PV/Li-ion energy system of household based on non-balancing cell has been designed. The system consists of a single lithium batteries and photovoltaic battery matching constitute distributed autonomous modules, and by flexible module series parallel constitute the whole power system. The non-balancing management strategy is presented. Under the control strategy, lithium batteries and photovoltaic cells can run in safe areas. This strategy can solve the shadow effect of photovoltaic battery array. Compared to the balanced management strategy of lithium-ion batteries, the non-balancing management strategy can overcome the problem of the lithium-ion battery pack is inconsistent.Based on Matlab/Simulink simulation platform, the PV/Li-ion energy storage system of household based on non-balancing cell is structured and the simulation experiment is carried out. The simulation results show that:the system is feasible, the non-balancing cell control strategy is effective and provides a theoretical basis for hardware implementation.Design and develop the non-balancing control module, and detailed introduce that the designed principle of hardware and related selection of components and parameters. At the same time, bulid the experimental platform of PV/Li-ion electricity power generation. Based on the analysis of the experimental data, verify the validity of the non-balancing control strategy and the feasibility of the pv/li-ion power generation system based on non-balancing management stratege.
