With the rapid development of our country’s high-speed rail, the market characteristics are personality and variety. High speed rail’s enterprises are facing problem that how to quickly provide the market with high quality personalized products, which are less cost. Product platform technology can help the enterprises solve the problem, and it is more and more popular at the enterprises. Combining the scientific research needs and enterprise problem, the rapid design of suspension device based on general product platform was studied, the main research contents include:(1)Suspension device general modular design, with the characteristic analysis of suspension device, suspension device modular design was proposed, which include suspension device function modeling based on improved function flow modeling, pertinence analysis and calculation, and module division based on DSM; From function, performance, structure, dimension and interface aspect, suspension device general module was defined, and proposed general module design, then the design process was expounded.(2)Suspension device general product platform design, general product platform and its related concepts were defined, such as platform common module, platform optional module and so on. General product platform framework was design, its design flow and process were studied. To evaluate the platform, platform commonality index and platform variety were proposed. The update of suspension device general product platform wan researched.(3)Suspension device rapid design based on general product platform, the rapid design process was expounded. The method of suspension device rapid design based on general product platform was formed, which include configuration design based on general product platform, variant design based on case and suspension device parametrization design based on CATIA CAA secondary development.(4)Suspension device rapid design system development and verification, with suspension device general product platform and its rapid design, suspension device rapid design system was developed. The method and platform were verified by the case of AirSpring device design.
