Solar energy is a kind of clean, green and renewable energy, it has receive people’s more and more attention with the depletion of traditional energy, and has been used in many fields, like navigation light. The most popular solar cells now are silicon solar cells, but it’s hard to improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency now, and silicon is expensive, so that many researchers are interested in finding a new kind of high conversion efficiency, clean, green and low cost solar cells. CuxO is a kind clean, green material, the resource is plentiful, it has a stable performance, and the preparation process is simple. The band gap of CuxO is closed to the ideal band gap of photovoltaic material. It’s theoretical conversion efficiency is high and is suitable to make thin film solar cells.In the first part of this thesis, CuxO thin films are prepared by DC magnetron sputtering using Cu target, use the X-ray diffractomer to analyze the structure; observe the microstructure by SEM, then analyze the elements by EDS; study the optical properties by UV-Vis spectrophometer. Make the CuxO /Si heterojunction thin film solar cells, got the I-V characteristic. This research contents are as follows:(1)O2 and Ar flow ratio play an important role to the composition of the films.(2)The oriented growth of Cu2 O becomes weak with the O2/Ar ratio change from 5:86 to 5:48. Purity Cu O can be obtained when the O2/Ar ratio is 5:8.(3)With the heat treatment temperature rise from 300℃ to 500℃.The crystal size increase, oriented growth becomes stronger, the light absorption capacity enhancement and the photoelectric conversion efficiency improved.(4)Cu2O/Si heterojunction thin film solar cells have a more conversion efficiency than Cu O/Si heterojunction thin film solar cells in the same condition.In the second part, Super-capacitor power circuit is designed in this thesis. Compared with lead-acid battery, super-capacitor can effectively collect navigation light solar cells’ energy. This circuit can make full use of the energy which from navigation light solar cells.
