The Study On Protection And Regeneration Of Qingdao Port Heritage Series

With the restructuring of world’s economic and escalating of the industrial structure, needs of port planning complicated quickly.Function as atransportation-hub of the traditional port area gradually weakened,so industrial ports that setted up by waterside is gradually being replaced by new industries.Large numbers of old port city are facing the issues of renovation and new relocation.As an important participant of modern city’s development,port industrial heritage is undertaking the mission of urban industrial civilization’s continuation.How to get rid of unused and abandoned fate,then revitalized is getting many countries’ attention gradually.United States and Europe countries start the Industrial Heritage study earlier,so they have relatively complete system and successful experience in protection and regeneration of port industrial heritage.While our country’s research in this area is lacking, some port industrial heritages are facing survival test in Urbanization reform.Inspiring of this present situation,this paper choose port industrial heritage as major object to explore how to protect port industrial heritages thoroughly.In this paper, starting from basic relevant information study, then comparative analysis of domestic and international examples,we will sum up the general rules of port industrial heritage reconstruction and highlights of implementation process.Based on this, to clarify the history of port industry and research heritages’ development status in Qingdao. Then combined with city’s future development plans, to explore regeneration ways of port industrial heritage in Qingdao.In recent years, with the study of heritage protection thoroughly, classification of heritage improved gradually, the combination and integration of heritage protection development has become a new trend.From the "Series Heritage" point of view, expanding a "Port Series Heritage" thinking.On basis of previous studies and combined with research of Qingdao port industrial zone, integrated the resource elements of Series Heritage with principle of authenticity,holistic and sustainability.Furthermore,taking the Dagang cruise homeport transformation plan as "contacts" to establish linkages between heritage unit.Hoping that the thinking of "Series Heritage protection" can continue to be tested and perfected in the future practice, and can provide new ideas for researches of related fields.
