In recent years, the rapid development of the high-rise building, the building shape become more and more personalize, functional and complicate. Great chassis tower high-rise building is a complicated structure form, widely used in high-rise buildings in our country. Seismic joint Sets between the tower and podium, which can make the complex shape of structure divide into several rules of monomer structure, making the structure unit stress clear, simple calculation, but also increase the project cost, construction difficulty and affect building facade effect as a whole and beautiful, and it is hard to avoid occuring collision in a large earthquake among adjacent structural unit; If no seismic joint, the structure plane lead to complex, the connection parts easy to produce the problem, such as stress concentration, the vertical stiffness. Under the earthquake effect, mutations will cause the horizontal seismic force of the floor to have a sudden change with elastic and plastic deformation centered, and then the structure will have an obvious weak story. It is bad for the structure seismic. The structure sets seismic joint before and after, This article will research about dynamic characteristics and seismic response with specific engineer example, This article is mainly on the research about this issue.Taking Longkou federation complex project, the tower B、C and its affiliated podium as an example, analyzed the structure plane and simplifying it to be a model. The structure respectively sets seismic joint before and after between the tower and podium,Which have a systematically research about dynamic characteristics and seismic response by using the finite element analysis procedures SATWE and MIDAS BUILDING, and concludes that provide theoretical basis and practical advice for the engineering design. In this paper, the main research work and achievements are as follows:1、Has carried on the plane structure calculation and analysis, it is concluded that the building simple, rule and symmetry, without partiality, and the plane size and prominent part of the ratio of the size limit all conform to the requirements of the specification, instructions in principle can sew without shock.2.、Using SATWE program structure for the modal analysis, response spectrum analysis and time history analysis, using MIDAS BUIDING program structure for the modal analysis and response spectrum analysis, and the results will be two kinds of program analysis comparison, it is concluded that the data are basically identical, the vertical stiffness mutation, showed that the structure model is established in accurate, the unreasonable structural design, have obvious weak layer, can’t meet the requirements for seismic resistance.3 、 Setting two seismic joint between the tower and podium, The mode-decomposition response spectrum method and time history analysis are used to study the effect after seismic joint by using the above two software analyses on the structural dynamic characteristics and seismic response. The result shows that the vertical stiffness of continuous, no weak layer, setting anti-seismic have a significant effect in structure dynamic characteristics and seismic performance.4、Through the above research work, seismic joint sets or not, which analysis of the pros and cons in both cases, and further puts forward without seismic joint what targeted response to weak positions taken to strengthen measures and countermeasures, for similar large chassis tower more complex reference and data support for the seismic design of the project. Finally, this article makes a summary of work, and points out the problems which need to be studied further.
