Marine estuarine dredging is a crucial part of the dredging industry, utilizing three-dimensional terrain visualization technique, to exploit three-dimensional seabed terrain system meeting the demand of current marine estuarine dredging. This system offers basis for the auxiliary decision-making of dredging project, which provides not only scan operate area of three-dimensional terrain, but earthwork calculation, three-dimensional analysis, and other common basic functions. The application of the software, in line with the development concept of "digital dredging" in our country, provides safeguard for the realization of the dredging industry informatization and modernization.The article summarizes the research and development of 3D software and theory at home and abroad, as well as the limitations and shortcomings of 3D display software in the marine estuarine dredging project. On the basis, for the application demand of the marine estuarine dredging project, this paper comes up with the way of combination of ArcGIS and Skyline, taking the two advantages, and constructing the new 3D submarine topography system according to the application of the technologies such as 3D visualization, GIS and The Internet. The system running on the Internet, providing the basis for the user making decision before and after, realizes functions such as generation and standardization of digital elevation model, earthwork calculation, three-dimensional analysis, and dredging history query.Firstly, the article analyses the challenge of the terrain display in the marine estuarine dredging project, clears the functional requirements of the system, and clarifies a detailed point. Secondly, the paper establishes key technologies used in the system development process, introduces the essential theory in the 3D terrain visualization, and points out that terrain 3D modeling is an important part of the 3D visualization. The last but not the least, the paper completes the system development according to the designed plan, including the selection of software development platform, interface design and the detailed introduce of the main functional realization.The successful application of 3D seabed terrain system in marine estuarine dredging project improves company’s ability of fine construction in the project, and maximally guarantees company’s benefits. Meanwhile, applying the GIS technology to this kind of engineering projects has a great significance to the establishment of digital dredging. |
