In china, snow is common in winter, especially in some cold areas. The snow lasted for half a year. With the development of science and technology, the spreading vehicles have gradually replaced artificial snow removing. However, parts of the snowmelt spreaders adopt the dry spreading deicing salt mode at spreading operations. It exists some problems, such as: uneven spreading, snowmelt low accuracy and low efficiency, etc. In this paper, through the installation of pre-wet spreading device and control system in the dry spreading snow machine basis, we can control deicing salt humidity, improve snowmelt efficiency and reduce the amount deicing salt. Refit spreading vehicle hydraulic system can achieve closed-loop control. The use of pressure compensation can achieve uniform spreading and stablely. Through monitoring and alarm system, the equipment can be timely and effectively monitored. The device status can find problems in the work and ensure the safe operation of system. The modified snow melt spreading vehicle has been changed from the original single snow removing to the purpose of multiple functions, to achieve mechanical shovel snow, synchronous operation, snow removing, snow melting and anti icing effect.The paper first introduced the topic origin and the research background. Taking spreading vehicles of Handan City Expressway Management Office as an example, the paper details snowmelt spreader workflow and the existence problems of the snowmelt spreading vehicles. The article designs a set of pre-wet spreading controller by PLC and hydraulic system. We introduce hardware selection, software introduced, the formation and selection of network and signal acquisition. And through upper computer software design the monitoring interface. Finally we use Ziegler-Nichols PID to tuning PID, and simulation in MATLAB environment.
