In order to ensure the safe and unimpeded driving environment, and prevent or reduce the influence and harm which cryoconite cover on the road cause, snow cleaning and slip avoiding in winter become an important task of the motorway maintenance. Therefore, developing a kind of multi-purpose snow cleaning vehicle which is high efficiency, low cost, less pollution is increasingly essential. The controller of pre-wet spreading system is installed on the multi-purpose snow cleaning vehicle, could achieve intelligent, precise, high-efficiency spreading operation through the hydraulic mechanism of control. This shows that the development of the controller is playing an important role in produceing multi-purpose snow cleaning vehicle.The controller of pre-wet spreading system which is developed in this article with a novel control structure, so that the snow removal vehicles can utilize speed navigation system, which carry out the CVT(Continuosusly Variable Transmission) and automation, additionally the controller also has a pre-wet spreading feature that makes spreading operation easy, more conservation and environmental protection. The controller is composed of two parts:one is central processor which places in the driver cab, the other is signal processor which places in the latter part of the vehicle. The MCU MSP430F167 is used as a core component in the two parts with the help of software programmed in C430 language. the central processor is to achieve the function of controlling the signal processor, displaying and the warning instruction, while the signal processor takes the charge of the sensor signals in the acquisition, processing, computing and control signals output to drive hydraulic mechanism and complete spreading operation. The central processor and the signal processor communicate with each other by RS485 interface.The controller has been put into use. It good practicability has been determined in respects of the processing speed and the control accuracy. The results prove that the snow removal vehicle which installs a spreading system controller could increase the utilization of resources-significantly, what's more, the controller is inexpensive, easy to use, and it is expected to have a promising market.
