The twelfth five-year plan is approaching to an end, China’s development is still in an important period of strategic opportunities, new urbanization has been always underway. In the current situation, the objective of urban-rural integration should not simply be "industry promotes agriculture, village serves for city", but should be based on the full understanding of the connotation. The concept of innovation, develop thinking, combined with the region’s unique natural landscape, cultural landscape, landscape architecture and the existing landscape resources, the theory and method of landscape ecology should be applied to optimize urban-rural landscape ecological pattern, through landscape construction by reverse influence on economic development, thinking in the process of urban-rural integration research on how to promote economic growth and environmental protection with landscape ecology, to achieve green and ecological development, to promote the multi-dimension integrating effects of urban and rural system through reasonable planning, strengthening urban and rural landscape, promoting urban and rural communication and interaction, which will help enhance mutual benefit and efficiency of resources for sustainable development for the human beings.To start with, the research illuminates the basic connotation and analyzes the correlation between the basic and related theories and the text, and then puts forward the central idea of this paper and makes a definition of it. Secondly, using landscape integrating concept, put forward the guiding ideology and principle of the regional ecological landscape construction, integrating concept is applied to every aspect of the new integration of urban and rural landscape ecological planning and construction, finally to Shanhaiguan District Longevity Hill Greenway Planning and design as a representative of the practical application, elaborate integrating theory in regional ecological landscape in the application.The study based on of the concept of urban-rural integration will have a positive significance for new model of urbanization and for rural construction and development. The integration of concepts into integrated regional ecological landscape in urban and rural areas is an attempt of the concept of system planning, It is also a way to repair the natural ecology. Landscape ecology has become a symbol of the post-industrial era of civilization, the city is like a man’s head, the countryside is like a man’s feet, and urban-rural integration is the trunk to connect the head and the feet, with landscape as respiratory organ, whose well-being determines the people’s health. This paper aims to play a role, with research achievements, in the formation of integrated urban-rural ecological landscape, the connection between urban and rural, the protection of the ecological environment of urban and rural areas, promotion for the sustainable rural and urban development, thus to solve the problem of intensive economical use of land resources, promoting cultural and industrial exchange between urban and rural areas, so as to integrate the entire region organically, which will keep regional economic development for urban and rural construction sustainable and the ecological landscape integrated.
