China is a coal country, but also is a consumption of coal country. The coal as the subject of the energy structure of our country will not change. S02, NOx, dust a nd other pollutants brought great pressure to the environment accompanied by the con sumption of coal resources.Biomass as a clean resource exists widely in our country, and biomass resources in the world’s energy consumption ranks after coal, petroleum and natural gas. Bioma ss features are included in the energy structure by virtue of its excellent, and graduall y plays an important role.Circulating fluidized bed boiler is a kind of effective utilization of inferior coal t echnology. It not only reduces the emission of pollutants, but also has characteristics t hat furnace with fluidization and circulation. CFB boiler laboratory system can determi ne the characteristics of the fluidization of mixed material, and can observe mixed ma terial characteristic parameters of fluidization process under cold condition.Experiments show that mixture’s fluidizing effect is stable and effective when biomass is in the range of 20%-30%.Mixed materials can be good fluidization when two kinds of material particle size consistent with or close. Bed material height has not big impact, but the bed material is high, the pressure requirements for larger and consumes more energy. Fluidization airflow for the effect of mixed material flow situation is obvious that mixed materials began to flow while the air volume reached 40%.we can know based on experimental study that biomass and coal mixtures can show flow characteristics of thermal environment in cold condition, and provide a strong basis for application in CFB boiler of biomass.
