The engineering background of this paper is based on Youshui brige of Zhang-hua highway, force of slant height pier in the construction process and the impact of slant height pier and box beam related parameters on the girder deflection were studied, specific research work and results are as follows:(1) Three-dimensional solid models of the right pieces of 5# pier and the main bridge’s overall model of Youshui brige were established, research the force of slant height pier on the construction process; Consider the impact of geometric nonlinear effects and oblique angle changes on the mechanical properties of the pier. Studies have shown that, skew high pier body’s maximum tensile, compressive stresses occur in the corners on both sides of the pier; Skew pier’s internal force and deformation due consideration of the geometric nonlinear effects has increased to varying degrees; In the oblique angle of 50°, the force of Skew pier in the most adverse conditions.(2) With skew high piers of Youshui bridge for example, create a physical model of the right pieces of 5# pier; Buckling analysis of skew high piers, in these three cases that skew high piers comparative analysis of the without considering the geometric nonlinear effects and geometric nonlinear effects and double nonlinear effects, the occurred variation of pier’s critical load.Studies have shown that, pier’s first-order linear eigenvalues. is reduction with oblique angles increasing; Considering geometrical nonlinearity and double nonlinear effect on the value of pier’s critical load is reduced; With the oblique angle increases, the top of the pier’s critical load is after the rise of the first drop, the minimum critical load said the worst carrying capacity of the pier (occurred in the oblique angle of 50°), this conclusions is consistent with the conclusions of (1).(3) The article describes to determine the bridge structure’s main design parameters. Engineering background is based on Youshui brige, finite element analysis of the overall model by using MIDAS software; Analyzes the impact on main beam deflection by box girder’s relevant parameters, also analyzed the influence of Slant height pier’s main parameters on the beam deflection; Studies have shown that, with the change in skew angle, the dead load deflection of both sides across with increasing oblique angle increases, dead load deflection of cross with increasing oblique angle decrease.
