The vibration of the stator end of a large turbo-generator affects the stable and safe operation of the generator. The fix of the stator end windings depends on whether the turbo-generator sets can long-term operate safely and reliably. The stator end windings fixed with a composite cone ring not only can reduce the vibration of the stator end, but also protect the stator winding to prevent the wear occurs. In this paper, the stator end structure of two different kinds of capacity 600 MW and 1000 MW turbo-generator are analyzed; the composite cone ring of the stator end and the manufacture equipment of the composite cone ring is also designed and researched by using the virtual prototyping technology.On the basis of the analysis of the stator end structure of 600 MW and 1000 MW large turbo-generator, by learning from a lot of information of turbo-generator at home and broad, at first, the three different structure diagram of the stator end are designed and established in Auto CAD, then the prototype model of the stator end are established in Pro/E, the stator end structures are properly simplified in order to facilitate the analysis and calculation and imported into ANSYS Workbench, the finite element model of the structures are established. The dynamic characteristics analysis of the three different stator end structures is done on this basis to obtain the corresponding natural frequencies and mode shapes. The natural frequency of the stator end structure should be away from the working frequency of 50 Hz and the electromagnetic doubling frequency of 100 Hz to avoid the resonance phenomenon of the stator end.The large cone ring of the stator end fixed structure with composites manufacturing processes can make it with a good performance. In this paper, the overlay design and analysis of composite large cone ring is respectively done in ACP of ANSYS Workbench and ANSYS classic version, and then the dynamic characteristic analysis is done to obtain the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the large cone ring. Similarly, the natural frequency of composite large cone ring should avoid the working frequency of 50 Hz and the electromagnetic doubling frequency of 100 Hz to reduce the probability of the resonance of the stator end.Filament winding is the primary method of forming the composite large cone ring and the main equipment of filament winding process is winding machine. In this paper, the virtual prototyping model of the winding machine with a six degrees of freedom manipulator is established in Solid Works by combing the industrial robotics and the filament winding mechanism as well as the virtual prototyping technology, then the motion simulation analysis of the winding machine is done in ADAMS, and the movement graphs of the core mold and the winding head are obtained.In this paper, a lot of important and valuable analysis results are obtained by the design and analysis of the stator end fix structures of large turbo-generator, of the composite large cone ring and of the winding equipment, which has important practical significance for the design and manufacturing of large turbo-generator.
