In recent years, with the rapid development of the national economy, the demand for energy is growing in China. The traditional energy has a unavoidable disadvantage on environment and the economy. Under this background, the development of new energy sources has drawn widespread attention to the state and society. And nuclear energy as a clean and efficient energy, has been accepted by many countries of the world and has brought high economic efficiency. Our investment in nuclear power in recent years has increased year by year. Currently, there are seven nuclear power area in our country and several nuclear power plant,20 of them are under commercial operation,37 of them are under construction. The state has envisaged to achieve nuclear power accounted for 4% in 2020.With the development of nuclear power, the biggest problem is its safety and reliability. On this issue, there have been profound lessons in history. And an important strategy to solve this problem is to improve the operational capability of employees. Resulting, it seems very important of nuclear power simulation. In this paper, analyzed the operating principle of nuclear power plants, found that the main feed-water control system has a very important role in nuclear power plants. Two subsystems of main feed-water control system of nuclear power plant have been studied.First, modeled the pump speed control system of nuclear power plant, to realize the vision based on a semi-physical simulation system which is capable of connecting field devices, completed the hardware design of the entire simulation platform. Used compatible hardware to build a hardware platform, including data acquisition I/O modules, PLC, HMI display monitor, etc. Then on this hardware platform, designed and developed the software, including the control algorithm development, feed-water pump model development, data storage development, and simulation interfaces, etc. Finally, integrated the hardware and software for the simulation of a convenient mobile cabinet. After a period of operation and adjustment, verified that its simulation could accurately reflect the effect of the operation of main feed-water system of nuclear power plant.The existence of "false water level" issue has been studied in this paper, too. Based on the analysis of the steam generator operation mechanism, for high power operation and low power operation, model free adaptive cascade control and single-loop control have been proposed. Then test this control scheme on the simulation platform and contrast with the traditional control scheme. The results show that the proposed scheme has significant advantages, it’s more suitable for use in main feed-water control system in nuclear power plant.
