Now all countries in the world are developing renewable energy and new energy as a way to solve the problem of energy crisis, the solar energy is one of the most development potential and valuable of the green energy. Photovoltaic power generation is the main way of solar power, our country and other countries will build photovoltaic power stations on a large scale in recent years. Usually, the big photovoltaic power stations are located in remote area, they aren’t easy to be governed for administrators at present. It hinders the application of photovoltaic power generation.Combined with grid connected photovoltaic power plant project of our school, this thesis develop a set of the remote data monitoring system through Lab VIEW.The goal is monitor the plant operation and environmental parameters in real-time.The main work of this thesis can be summarized as follows.1) Photovoltaic power generation systems and power station monitoring systems are analyed in this thesis. This paper made the simple introduction about the type and composition of the photovoltaic power generation system from the actual situation of the existing photovoltaic power stations. Analyzing the principle of photovoltaic power generation, get the mathematical model of photovoltaic cell derived from the photovoltaic battery equivalent circuit. Simplifying the model get the photovoltaic cell engineering mathematical model. The photovoltaic cell engineering mathematics model is built by using Lab VIEW software, and the influence of light intensity and environmental temperature change on the output characteristics of the photovoltaic cell is simulated. Introducing the situation of the photovoltaic power station in our school and design its data monitoring system.2) Data acquisition of photovoltaic power station and PC monitoring for power generation equipments are analyed.This paper designed data acquisition scheme of the meteorology instrument, photovoltaic combiner box, inverter and temperature of photovoltaic cell surface, also introduced the communication protocol about serial port of the photovoltaic equipments. Using Lab VIEW software to program PC monitoring program in order to acquisite the data of cell’s surface temperature, meteorology instrument, photovoltaic combiner boxes and inverters based on the communication protocol and achieve the design of their PC interface.3) The software design of power station ’s data storage and query.SQL Server 2005 database is used to store the data of power generation and meteorological instrument by using the Lab SQL database toolkits built-in Lab VIEW and realizating the function of data storage and query in local. Programming report forms output make the acquisited data to generate spreadsheet file.4) This thesis research the power station’s data remote communication. The station’s data being released by the Data Socket technology.The station’s data is encrypted and packaged and uploaded to the data center of competent department as server/client(C/S) model through TCP data transmission program written by Lab VIEW. After the data remote transmission, we can see the station’s operating data through the web page, realizing remote query of the data.5) The data monitoring system of station’s generate an executable file. Using the function that can generate executable file built-in Lab VIEW2012 professional, put the plant data monitoring system to generate the application documents. The programming work of station’s data monitoring system software is completed.The monitoring system is tested and operated for almost one year, as a result the system is stable and reliable which could ensure to complete photovoltaic power generation systems monitoring, data backup and remote communication. With the characteristics of good real-time, comprehensive functions,it has a strong engineering practical value.
