In our country, all kinds of mixed asphalt pavement materials is applied extensively in hignway construction, which makes it necessary to research pavement materials pull pressure performance.This kind of research is also an important means of raising the pavement materials compressive strength. Rutting test is one kind of test method in measuring pavement materials pull pressure. Usually, traditional equipment is used to test pavement materials' stress-strain, which is not easy to combine with other equipment and this problem. can be solved efficiently by virtual instrumentA rutting test collection system by using PXI bus of virtual instrument is decribed in the paper, PXI-6070E with NI company multi-function data collection card, PXI-8186 embedded controller and SCXI signal disposal for instrument hardware platform, and NI LabVIEW for software development platform..Firstly, the virtual instrument developing situation home and abroad are researched, the virtual instrument and traditional instruments distinction are analyzed, and LabVIEW software development platform in the rutting test collection system application is studied further. Secondly the key technology is deeply researched according to system development needs, including testing technology, principles of sensor etc, with emphasis on the hardware and software design of the testing system. Building up the hardware platform includes sensor bridge road design, signal conditioning module, data acquisition module three parts. the wholeâ…¢bridge road design is used mainly in the bridge road design. The design way is sensitive, which can make up to the temperature, and call off the strain influence.modular design is used in software, includes data acquisition, storage and playback, report refinement print and so on functions, by calling the different modules to complete different operations of testing.Finally DataTaker company is compared with this system in data gathering, and also the data with different bridge road designs is compared. The system in the paper can complete data acquisition task of flexible pavement materials excellently, at the same time the system is advanced and practical, which makes the engineers easy to analyze the structure property of pavement materials.
