Waste plastics modifier is produced by the waste plastics, is a new kind of asphalt modifier. In paper, through a large number of laboratory tests, targeted for CRP waste plastic modified asphalt and mixture to do in-depth research and comparative analysis.On the basis of test, the paper combines conventional tests to make a contrast test research and analysis on technical performance for different dosage CRP and SBS modified asphalt with the same matrix asphalt. By needle penetration, softening point、 low-temperature ductility test to research high and cryogenic temperature performance on the CRP modified asphalt; through rotary viscosity test to explore the change of viscosity properties on CRP modified asphalt. In view of the different types of modified asphalt, using the same aggregate and aggregate gradation, two types of asphalt mixture-AC-13 and SMA-13, by Marshall stability test、rutting test、 low-temperature bending test、adhesion test、freeze-thaw splitting test、indirect tensile test to evaluate the high-temperature rutting resistance、low temperature crack resistance、resistance to water damage and fatigue resistance ability of CRP asphalt mixture. The results showed that the dosage of 5% CRP waste plastic modified asphalt has almost the same performance with 4% content of SBS modified asphalt, the addition of CRP modifier can significantly improve the high temperature performance of asphalt mixtures, but did not improve low temperature performance; CRP modified asphalt mixture has significantly high temperature rutting resistance, water damage resistance and fatigue resistance have been obviously improved.According to the research of piusride technological process on CRP modifier find that it is easier to put into effect to compare with the method of powder SBS modifier directly joining and it does not require complicated large auxiliary facilities, at the same time, simplifying the complexity of construction technology and also reducing the investment of the construction cost. It still has the very good high temperature stability、 water sensitivity and fatigue resistance compared to asphalt mixtures of CRP and SBS McDonald technology.It can clearly be seen that CRP waste plastics modifier not only has broad application prospects, but also has great economic benefit and social benefit.
