As the propulsion system of the Urban rail train. Linear motor has been the focus of study for the last years. Nowadays the single sided linear motor has already been widely applied in the Urban rail train.This motor is simple in structure, which can realize the linear driving train. However the single sided linear motor can not achieve non-contact transmission of energy between the rotor and stator, which unavoidably results in the problem of the energy loss and the speed of motor is controlled only unilaterally. Doubly-fed linear motor, which is designed in this pape, can effectively solve these problems. By means of the research and simulation analysis of electromagnetic field of the doubly-fed linear motor and optimizing the parameters of motor, a suit of parameters of Doubly-fed linear motor for the low-speed Urban rail train is at last designed in this paper.First, Based on Theory of Electrical Motor Integration, the structure and principle of doubly-fed linear motor is analyzed. The mathematical model of Doubly-fed motor is set up, the electromagnetic thrust is analyzed by mathematics analytic method.Based on the theoretical analysis, the parameters of basic structure of motor slot is preliminarily determined. On the basis of learning the method of using Ansoft Maxwell 2D software, simulation model of doubly-fed linear motor is established. Distribution of electromagnetic field and electromagnetic thrust, which is simulation result, are analyzed in the paper.Second, the reasons which leads to the fluctuation of electromagnetic thrust are analyzed.Starting from the basic structure parameters of doubly-fed motor model, the different models are established by Ansoft software.In different situations, for example, different rotor groove depth, different tooth width and slot width, different slot number and pole pitch, simulation model of doubly-fed linear motor is established to analyze the distribution of electromagnetic field and the changes of electromagnetic thrust.The optimal parameters for a doubly-fed synchronous linear motor is selected successfully.Finally, single whole pitch winding and double short pitch winding motor is studied,the analysis and the analytic method of electromagnetic thrust are compared to prove the validity of the two methods of design.And Choosing single whole pitch winding structure of motor as drive motor city rail train the best solutions by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of two kinds of forms of winding motor.
