The accuracy control of hull blocks is an important part of modern shipbuilding and it reflects the ship production quality of a shipyard. In shipbuilding, the adjustment and cleaning work and the production time and costs can be reduced, and then shorten shipbuilding cycle and create economic benefits in production operations by taking effective measures to control the accuracy. In China, the order quantity and production scale of shipbuilding have surpassed Japan and South Korea, but the accuracy control is relatively low. Therefore, study of the accuracy control of hull blocks is important. In this paper, the accuracy control of the hull blocks of a shipyard’s 75 m platform supply vessel was studied. The main contents are as follows:(1)The examination method of the accuracy control of hull blocks in a shipyard was briefly introduced. As an example, the examination method was described in detail to a specific tail section. Using multiple linear regression analysis, the mathematical model of the necessary amount of shrinkage of the surface plate thermoformed was founded. The work of data training and prediction and the figure of fitting surface were acquired by using the least square support vector machine.(2)The basic principles of the compensation amount applied in actual production were described. Using the spectrum analysis method, the longitudinal and transverse welding shrinkage amount of a double bottom block was estimated. The estimating compensation amount is close to the welding shrinkage compensation amount in actual production. Therefore, the method must be modified and optimized to meet the needs of actual production.(3)According to the above-mentioned results, the defects dislocation, deformation and end deviation were quantitative analyzed respectively by FMEA method to calculate the risk priority number and assess fault level, then improvements are proposed to optimize and improve production quality levels.
