Fine smooth railway tracks are insurance for train safety and high-speed operation. The algorithm of track’s smoothness parameters is a core technology in high-speed railway track’s precise measurement and fine adjustment.The track’s plane smoothness parameters of railways includes track gauge, the rate of change of gauge, short wave’s smoothness, medium wave’s smoothness and long wave’s smoothness. The algorithm of track’s smoothness parameters adopts our traditional short wave’s smoothness parameters algorithm and medium and long wave’s smoothness parameters algorithm of German. These two algorithms are inconvenient. In fact, we almost adopt approximate algorithm, but they are imprecise. Therefore, this thesis will discuss the algorithm for plane smoothness parameters as these following aspects:1 The calculation model of design coordinates was derived using the measured coordinates of the track. According to linear features of different track points, it adopted a corresponding calculation model to calculate its designed coordinates, designed mileage and the designed coordinates of the left and right track;2 The accuracy of high-speed railway track’s measurement was analyzed, and the algorithm of high-speed railway track plane smoothness parameters was introduced. The existed algorithm was improved through analyzing its shortages;3 Because of different track measurement data collection features in different periods, the track’s plane smoothness parameters calculation was deduced in operation period, based on the features of data collection in operation period;4 The software of the high-speed railway track plane smoothness parameters calculation was developed, which was based on these plane smoothness parameters calculations in this thesis.The research shows that:the results of the improved algorithm is closer that of strict algorithm, and is more precise than that of approximation algorithm; it tests and verifies that we can obtain one track point measuring data per spaced at 1-2 track point in operation period, and obtain the data of the track points that are not measured by cubic spline interpolation, and calculate the track smoothness parameters based on the data; The software developed in the thesis can use strict algorithm and approximation algorithm to calculate the high-speed railway’s track plane smoothness parameters.
