The critical requirement of High-speed railway for track regularity and strict limit of post construction settlement of underline engineering have brought about many new technical problems for designs and constructions of unballasted track’s underling foundations, meanwhile it has also been a challenge for settlement control in operation. Presently, settlement measurement and evaluation have been done for High-speed railway in construction, while it takes a long time for the subgrade to subside and it needs a long-term monitoring. Settlement (especially the uneven settlement) in operation is a great threaten for High-speed railway’s serviceability and safety, so how settlement develops and how to measure and evaluate it is an important technical question for the world. Research into the law of railway subgrade’s settlement in operation and methods to measure and evaluate it is basic to guarantee its safe operation, and it makes sense for the ministry of railway to establish High-speed railway maintenance plan and to improve the security technology of High-speed railway in our country.In order to avoid affecting the normal traffic when monitoring the operation subgrade settlement of High-speed railway, field measurements are usually carried out in the skylight time at night. Due to its short working hours, heavy workload and lack of light, the accuracy and efficiency are difficult to guarantee. Taking the operation settlement monitor of Chengdu-Guanxian line for example, the comparison and selection of measure programs based on the measure efficiency is covered in this paper, and the optimization program was taken to measure a10km long subgrade’s settlement. Furthermore, influencing factors and response measures to insure measurement accuracy are proposed. Finally, on the basis of the settlement value of the line, programming was developed to check the settlement regularity and realize the evaluation of the subgrade regularity.Research into the operation settlement of Chengdu-Guanxian high speed line is discussed in this paper, the optimization program come up by comparison and selection, influencing factors and response measures to insure measurement accuracy are concluded. According to the measurement data, subgrade settlement value’s range and trend are analyzed, and the embankment settlement law in operation of the Chengdu-Guanxian line is summed up.
