| According to the strategic plan made by the four plenary session of the nine session of the Sichuan Provincial Committee, the expressway construction of Sichuan Province has made great progress. By the end of 2013, the Sichuan expressway mileage opened to traffic had reached 5000km. In 2014, the expressway under construction reaches 1592km, and another 1660km is under preparation. It is planned to construct over 12000km of expressway in the future 20years in Sichuan Province.With the development of expressway construction, the tunnel construction has become a key part. However, the problems of gas, karst formation and water gushing are usual in the tunnel construction. Environmental problem and secondary geological disaster result from tunnel spoil have posed a huge challenge to tunnel construction and administration. Lack of knowledge on special geologic disasters, insufficient management and countermeasures, and unforeseen potential safety hazard may result in accident, project cost increase and construction period delay.Through analyzing advanced construction and management technologies of foreign countries, the thesis makes a study of expressway tunnel construction and management technologies, based on the accumulating experience and new problems, in order to provide guidance for expressway tunnel construction and management of Sichuan Province. |
