A strong smart distribution network proposes the higher requirements about rapidity, reliability and intelligence of apparatus. Because of the long operation time it used to have, which can hardly meet the demand of rapidity. What’s more, it limits the use of low-voltage apparatus in intelligence control. Therefore, the technology of eddy current repulsion that has been used in the occasions of high-voltage in recent years has been introduced in this paper and applied to low-voltage apparatus. This paper proposed the new type of low voltage apparatus technology based on eddy current repulsion and carry out the simulation research and prototype development.Firstly, mathematical expression of eddy repulsion is derived by energy conservation. According to coaxial dual-coil model, dual iterative algorithm based on time and space is established and programed with the software of Matlab. On the basis of the mathematical model of vortex field and the required field equations, boundary and initial conditions of solving the electromagnetic problem, the paper use ANSYS and Visual Basic to write dynamic simulation program of eddy repulsion mechanism and provide application basis of designing prototype.Secondly, this paper take the AC contactor CJ40-100 as the frame body of new eddy repulsion mechanism.by changing parameters, such as the turns and diameter of coil and thickness of copper plate that can affect the operating characteristics of eddy repulsion mechanism one by one in the simulation program which is introduced in the previous chapter, then the better parameters can be confirmed At last the 3D mechanical design software can be used to design the prototype of the scheme.Thirdly, According to the features of excitation circuit, the super capacitor is used as the energy sources of the circuit. This paper introduces circuit model of it and study the voltage-sharing technology thanks to the low rated voltage of super capacitor. Moreover, the paper introduces three scheme of exciter circuit according to different situation. Then discuss how to choose the circuit component combining the prototype.Finally, this paper proposed an excitation circuit according to the feature of the eddy repulsion mechanism. Then displacement curve and velocity curve of eddy repulsion mechanism is tested by the image processing technology of high-speed cameras. By comparing with the AC contactor CJ40-100, the results shows that the scheme prototype is proved to have better performance in rapidity and robustness in control.The new type of eddy repulsion mechanism developed in this paper need to be improved. Which can be combined with the early detection of short circuit fault, then can applied to the technology development of integrated control and protection of low-voltage apparatus.
