The generation of pantograph arc severely hinders the development of high-speed railway.In order to improve the safety and stability of the train,based on the pantograph arc experiment system,pantograph arc experiments under different speeds,contact pressures and currents conditions were carried out,and the arc voltage and arc current data was collected and analyzed.The dynamic arc burning process of the pantograph arc is expounded,and the characteristics of the electrical parameters of the pantograph arc under different working conditions are pointed out.According to the law of generation and extinction of the pantograph arc,a model of the pantograph arc is proposed and simulated by Simulink.And Simulated waveforms are verified.The analysis results of the electrical characteristics of the pantograph arc show that the arcing peak value and the arc extinguishing peak value of the arc voltage of the pantograph arc will show certain randomness with time.As the speed increases,the arc is not easy to reignite,and the total arc duration of a single arc shows a decreasing trend;similarly,increasing the contact pressure reduces the probability of offline occurrence,cuts down the number of arcs,and then lessen the total arc duration of a single arc.Increasing the current will not significantly change the arcing law of the arc.The statistical results show that the arcing and extinguishing moment of the pantograph arc follow a uniform distribution and the experimental conditions have little effect on the distribution.The total arcing duration of a single arc shows a normal distribution.With the experimental conditions varies,the normal distribution parameters also change accordingly.The complete process of selection,parameter extraction and optimization,model establishment,simulation and verification of the arc model of the pantograph is realized.The selection of the initial model of the pantograph arc is based on the assumptions of the classic arc model and the optimal results of the genetic algorithm.After comparison,the Habedank arc model is selected.An arc modelling method based on experimental data is proposed,and an improved Habedank arc model is obtained.The simulation model was built using Simulink to establish the simulation module.The output arc waveforms conformed to the electrical characteristics of the measured pantograph arc,indicating that the established arc model has certain feasibility and is suitable for describing the dynamic pantograph-catenary arc characteristics.
