Solar photovoltaic pump provides many excellent means for the development of agriculture, ecological desertification treatment, irrigation and animal husbandry water supply in remote areas where without municipal electricity. This paper designs a sun-tracking automatic photovoltaic pumping system from the standpoint of practical application. The transmission plan of system energy is designed, and the problem of photovoltaic panels for electricity power fluctuation is solved by the small capacity buffer storage technique. Designing the two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism ensures sunlight vertical irradiation of photovoltaic panels, which can promote the power of photovoltaic panels in unit area and balance generating capacity of photovoltaic panels all day long. Combined with simulation software to complete the simulation analysis and check optimization for the two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism, which regard as the effective supplement of the design, and it can also improve the power generation device in performance-to-price ratio respects. Developed the prototype and test its performance and analysis the economic, which provides designing ideas for further development of the different series photovoltaic pumping system.This thesis mainly launches the research from the following aspects:(1) Designing of the sun-tracking automatic photovoltaic pumping system plan. Conducting the whole design of the sun-tracking automatic photovoltaic pumping system plan and putting forward three different structure of photovoltaic pumping system plans. Combined with the analytic hierarchy process to evaluate the three plans and then select the optimal plan for the further research.(2) Designing of the two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism. Analyze the movement rules of sun and then establish the mathematical model of the trajectory of the sun to determine the main design parameters of the two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism. The design of photoelectric sensor is optimized, and the tracking control strategy of two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism is studied. The control method of battery charge and discharge is optimized to ensure the system operation with stable and constant power. Designing the two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism ensures that the sunlight is always perpendicular to the photovoltaic panels, which can promote the power of photovoltaic battery in unit area. Making analysis of load for the two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism and conducting the mechanical calculation of the drive mechanism.(3) Simulation analysis of the two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism. Analyze static strength of the two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism with the analysis software ANSYS Workbench. Combined with the analysis software ADAMS for dynamic simulation of the two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism, calculating the maximum force position of the sun-tracking mechanism in different working conditions, and checking the strength of it in the location.(4) Optimization design of the two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism. Basing on the analysis results of the static simulation and dynamic simulation, the stress distribution in two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism is obtained. The key parts of the structure of the two-dimensional sun-tracking mechanism is optimized by Design Exploration module in ANSYS Workbench, which can improves the mechanical properties and reduces the use of materials.(5) Developing and test analysis of prototype. According to the optimization results and study in preliminary, the prototype of the sun-tracking automatic photovoltaic pumping system is developed. Making comparison between experiment of the system and fixed photovoltaic pumping system and analyzing the corresponding experimental data, actual water and cost, then analysis of the comprehensive performance-to-price ratio analysis of the prototype.According to the above study we can found that the sun-tracking automatic photovoltaic pumping system although add the tracking device bring the installation and maintenance is relatively complex, and then bring the manufacturing with maintenance cost is fixed type photovoltaic pump 1.39 times, but the water yield of automatic tracking photovoltaic pump can be increased about 65% and the comprehensive performance-to-price ratio improves about 20%.
