Spatio-Temporal Data Model Of Dynamic Traffic Information Research And Application

Traffic as a necessary component in the whole city, is playing an increasingly important role in city development. It is a research topic to be solved in process of urbanization that how to make use of the mature information technology to effectively organise and manage the massive real-time dynamic traffic information generated by the traffic operation,and on this basis to realize real-time release of information and traffic operation law analysis, to guide the public travel and traffic management.Network spatial data and dynamic traffic data are the two most important classes in the process of urban traffic system. The thesis discussed the two types of data collection method and the characteristics of information. Based on the different characteristics of two kinds of information, the thesis established the respective data models that are network spatial data model, the dynamic traffic spatio-temporal data model. Then according to the established data model, using the mature Arc SDE spatial database technology, build the dynamic traffic information spatio-temporal database.This paper also discussed the synchronization of real-time dynamic data, backup and recovery in the spatio-temporal database. Finally, on the basis of spatio-temporal data model and the spatio-temporal database, in xicheng district of Beijing TOCC system as an example, a dynamic traffic information system in xicheng district range was designed and implemented. Combined with user demand and the feature of dynamic traffic data, using mature Flex framework, the system is mainly designed to contain two modules.One is the real-time data visualization display and release module,and the other one is the historical time and space analysis module for the purpose of analysising traffic operation law to aid decision-making.
