| With the rising of the proportion of natural gas in the world primary energy consumption, the natural gas imports of China also increases year by year. Considering the limitations of pipeline transportation, LNG shipping is considered to be an economic and efficient mode of transportation. While ship’s stability is taken as one of the most important performances during the shipping, it has a very close relationship with the ship safe operation. In order to make the crew have a understanding of ship’s stability in the process of loading and discharging cargo, this thesis developed the stability calculation and simulation system based on the laboratory developed liquid cargo handling simulator which has the function of loading and discharging cargo for the LNG carriers. This thesis aimed at developing a ship’s stability calculation and simulation system using Visual Basic 6.0 programming language. It referenced the LNG-M type cargo handling simulator correlation function and design principle and took Dapeng Sun constructed by our own country as a parent ship. The main work of subject is as following:Firstly, the LNG-M type cargo handling simulator main design principles and ship stability calculating method of traditional marine loading software were studied, the laboratory developed cargo handling simulator was learned and the mathematical modules of cargo gravity center and free surface area moment of inertia in real-time were built; Then designed and improved the interfaces of stability, bunker, ballast pump room, ballast tank, ballast tank overview, shear force, bending moment, deflection and custom controls, plotted the program function chart and flow charts and used Spline-3 when drawn the static and dynamic stability curves. At last, the shear force, bending moment, deflection simulation, ballast water system were developed and embedded into the stability calculation and simulation system, the ship’s parameters were adjusted through the ballast water system. The running results of the stability calculation and simulation system show that the stability real-time calculation and shear force, bending moment and deflection real-time simulation are satisfactory and the ship’s parameters can be adjusted through ballast system in the process of loading and discharging cargo. |
