Energy and water resources are material basis sustaining survival and development of society. In recent years, each country takes coal, oil and natural gas as traditional resources. People of worldwide make great effort on exploring and utilizing renewable energy, in that worse environmental pollution attributed to insufficient energy, freshwater resource and traditional energy. Based on an overall condition of some merits and features of solar energy and pumped storage power station, innovation of this thesis lies in proposing a novel technique, namely technique of pumped storage power generating electricity by assisted solar energy.To begin with, this thesis makes rough analysis of technique of pumped storage power generating electricity by assisted solar energy, form perspective of its reason and necessity. At the same time, this thesis makes analysis and research on principle and variable techniqu es of pumped storage power generating electricity by assisted solar energy technique system atically.It designs solar collector, steam ringing system, heat exchange system and cooling s ystem in this technique simply and makes calculation and analysis.Moreover, on the basis of data visualization of FLUENT software to analyze steam pipe system of vital sub-system in pumped storage power generating electricity by assisted solar energy, which comes to light that temperature field, pressure field and velocity field maintained in steam standpipe. Along with different structure parameters in steam standpipe, this thesis concentrates on discussing influence on steam velocity and draft in steam standpipe. This thesis comes to some findings:Higher degree of standpipe, the stronger draft and faster velocity of standpipe. On the certain degree, the bigger radius, smaller draft and lower velocity in standpipe.Finally, this thesis makes research on operating method of applying pumped storage power generating electricity by assisted solar energy technique to desalination and hydropower cogeneration. It analyzes economically feasible of pumped storage power generating electricity by assisted solar energy technique through adopting investment returns of time limit. By considering merits of electricity generation and investment only, time limit of investment returns is 20 years. While, time limit of investment returns is 8.2 years based on pumped storage power generating electricity by assisted solar energy technique, considering desalination and environmental value. This thesis analyzes the vital factor that influencing on recovery period and average cost of resources, which lie in price of solar collector. And considering overall social effects and grid effects of tjis system, it aims to prove feasibility of this technique. This technique is fairly effective and deserves popularization.
