Vacuum circuit breaker is a switch and protective device which is used in the production and operation of power, and now widely used in power, chemical, petroleum, metallurgy, coal, high-rise buildings and electric railway and so on. It has the general properties of ordinary switch, the main circuit can realize the fast conversion between insulators and conductors. And has the advantages of small volume, no pollution, strong breaking capacity, light weight, good arc quenching ability and long life characteristics, widely used in electric power system. Thus study the characteristics of vacuum switch has become the core topic of electric field model switch. In this paper, using Rogowksi coil as the current sensor, make full use of its simple structure, high precision, good linearity, strong anti-interference ability, safe and convenient to use, easy to realize the digitization, more important is its advantage of hollow coil has no magnetic saturation problems, can successfully collect the arc current and obtain the vacuum arc characteristics of. The more prominent of the research significance of this thesis.This paper firstly introduces the development and research status of the research background of domestic and foreign vacuum circuit breaker, and expounds the research results and vacuum switching arc the basic characteristics of. And through the gas discharge theory introduces the basic mechanism of arc and causes; study the arc generation combined with vacuum arc theory, mechanism of combustion. And analysis the principles of vacuum circuit breaker cut off fault current combine with the structure of vacuum interrupter.This paper studies the working mechanism of Rogowksi coil current sensor. Then the Rogowksi coil sensor to the structure analysis and parameter design. And the combination of different materials, winding line and integral resistance factors are given amplitude frequency characteristic analysis of Rogowski coil, the simulation phase frequency and transient time. Finally, verify the accurate measurement of Rogowksi coil sensor according to pre designed can realize the arc current..For the power frequency arc volt ampere characteristic description of vacuum circuit breaker, the first experimental platform arc characteristics of vacuum circuit breaker, analyzed the change of vacuum arc voltage and current value of the corresponding relation; and through adjusting the clearance between open contacts of the contactor distance effect on the characteristics of the vacuum arc voltage, deepen and enrich the research contents.
