| The waste materials of pavement construction has caused great damage to the environment along with most highway into maintenance period in our country. The cold recycled technique can effectively reuse the RAP produced in process of pavement maintenance. And it has long construction season as well as good application prospect. The cold recycled asphalt mixtures were commonly used as base or subbase of pavement at present with no widespread application. The design and performance evaluation system are not very well because of this technology late starting in our country. However, engineering application is in urgent need of perfect theoretical research to be guided. In view of this, performance research of cold recycled mixtures was carried out in this paper.Cold recycled mixtures are tested in the paper with different cement dosage so as to determine suitable cement dose for the mixture. Also, research on the comparison of emulsified asphalt cold recycled mixture and foamed asphalt cold recycled mixture was investigated by indoor tests as well as traditional flexible materials such as HMA. The research found that cold recycled asphalt mixtures did not meet the requirement of engineering without cement, poor stability; cement dosage of emulsified asphalt cold recycled mixture should be controlled within 1.5%～2.0% while 1%～1.5% for foamed asphalt cold recycled mixture; the overall performance of foamed asphalt cold recycled mixture is worse than that of emulsified asphalt cold recycled mixture with lower intensity and prone to damage of loose; cold recycled mixtures have excellent rutting resistance and outstanding thermal performance compared with HMA, but the intensity of cold recycled mixture is lower than that of HMA; the whole performance of emulsified asphalt cold recycled mixture is better than that of HMA, suitable for using as base course or low layers of surface course. Indoor test standard of cold recycled mixtures was put forward by this study. |
