With the development of the time, people’s demands for the transportation are greatly growing. The automobile has become indispensable to people’s life. The non-renewable quality of the energy and the environmental pollution have attracted a lot of people’s attention. The development and the popularization of the electric automobile will become the product of the development of science and technology.In recent years, our country put more emphasis on the research and promotion of the electric automobile. However, the difficulty is the charging time of battery and the driving distance. The essay will make a deep research on this topic. In order to enhance the battery energy storage and shorten the charging time, I put forward four stages charging method.This essay first conducts the research from the theory, and to establish electric vehicle charging process mathematical model in the laboratory, and then to analyze the mathematical model, so as to find optimum operating point of the battery charging process. Secondly, I will use the DSP controller as the core of the control system, the hardware circuit to improve the function of the situation, through the research process of the control algorithm and charging software design, fuzzy PID control technology, increase the efficiency of battery charging. This paper discusses the design of control circuit, sensor detection circuit design, signal acquisition and processing circuit design, the auxiliary power supply circuit design and software program design and control algorithm research in detail. Finally, I test the experimental prototype parameter in the laboratory, and analyze the experimental results.Through the analysis of experimental data, the application of smart electric vehicle charging system meets the requirements of basic design parameters in the initial period. The application of four stages charging method proposed in this paper solve the case of the long charging time of the battery and the short life in high voltage or high current, and provide the reference data and information for the future study on the electric vehicle charging technology.
