The river morphology of the Yellow River in Inner Mongolia is changing and floating ice usually accumulated and blocked the channel during the freezing up. Because of its complex ice floating, observation work is weak, lack of basic data, and so on lead to related research carried out relatively late, relatively less results. The processes of ice jam formation were observed in the Yellow River in Inner Mongolia in the winter of 2013. Numerical simulation was used to get better understanding on the processes and mechanics of ice jam formation in a river bend near Sanhuhekou.The main content of the thesis are:First of all, according to a 2013~2014 on field observations of the Yellow River in Inner Mongolia during floating ice, floating ice and summarizes the flow characteristics of freeze-up process corners:outter bank shallows there are large static border ice formation, flow curve of water wide influence mainly by border ice; floating ice main flow with the mainstream by inner bank side movement, floating ice in the area below the dome card blocking formation of ice early closure.Secondly, the simulation in the winter of 2013 Sanhuhekou flow velocity, and the application of the theory of land ice growth in phase floating ice river shore ice growth area, and calculate the skeleton of the water of the river section and flow cross-section area wide, finally calculated curves in different cross section flow changes of the density of ling, found in the corner, curved lower river width narrow, river erosion is serious, and relatively small compared with the upstream and downstream flow, flow during ice card wall to form the initial ice here.Finally, the main river channel ice thicker, convex development is located in the ice is thin; Convex development is located in the shore of the ice thickness suffer indignities moderate depth limit; Mainstream the ice thickness and depth of no obvious relationship, but the velocity faster regional ice is thinner, steady period when prone to ditch open water.
