Dish- Stirling solar thermal power station usually consists of dozens or even hundreds of generating units, and a single dish- Stirling thermal power generation system usually consists of a Stirling engine, disc mirror device and the next control engine system. Due to instable, intermittent solar radiation, the power generation system is extremely susceptible to environmental variation, which leaves input time of the entire plant in a dynamic and changing state. As a result, ensuring the high efficiency of the power station becomes difficult and it could have a great impact on the grid. Therefore, supervisory control and data acquisition system for CSP(concentrated solar plant) will increase utilization of solar energy as well as the generating capacity of the system.The main work of this paper includes five parts. First, on the basis of combination of theory and practices, this paper has made a clear study abroad and home dynamic, status quo and development trend on Stirling and supervisory control and data acquisition system. Second, it has also analyzed the three kinds of major solar thermal power technologies, major components and working principle of Stirling engines, and the hardware and software design in Stirling engine control system. Third, according to the basic situation of dish Stirling, the author has analyzed its unique characteristic, provided the system structure and functional requirements of supervisory control and data acquisition system, and completed the hardware structure of whole plant communication system and communication protocol and database design. Fourth, this part focused on the system implementation, with main achievements including system simulator of the key modules, joint testing of each module and the result analysis of data acquisition. Fifth, the last part discussed the conclusions and shortcomings of the study, expressing the author’s thinking on the prospects of the subject in the future.
