For the power-train is one of the main sources of vibration, power-train mounting system is key to the improvement of NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) and comfort of the vehicle. As for the design of power-train mount-ing element of container car, on one hand, the element shouldn’t be too soft to fix the power-train. On the other hand, the element shouldn’t be too stiff to ful-fill its function of isolating the vibration. Isolation vibration performance of power-train mounting system of container car is optimized by properly design-ing the stiffness of mounting elements in the subject. The content is as follow:1. ANSYS software and ANSYS Parametric Design Language (APDL) language are used in modeling and analyzing. The inertial-elastomer model is simplified in a equivalent way and its theoretical basis is given in the pa-per.2. ANSYS model analysis is used to the inertial-elastomer model based on model analysis theory after adding proper displacement. Frequencies of 6 DOF of the power-train mounting system are extracted after the analysis. The data provided by manufacturer is verified as well compared with the mode of each order.3. After few traditional decoupling theories are introduced, force and moment are analyzed and confirmed due to the feature of the Liner-four engine of the mini-van. Not only for a single cylinder, but for the whole engine as well. The excited force is figured out in the idling condition.4. Vibration isolation transmissibility is regarded as evaluation indicator of vi-bration isolation performance in the paper with stiffness of every orthogonal direction of each mounting element being design variables. Design Opts module is used in ANSYS to optimize the model. Random search method and first-order method is combined in the paper. Better vibration isolation performance is acquired after the optimization.
